My History in this area of expertise

Going back to 2008 is when my love for dogs started with two handsome puppies named Apollo and Zeus. My family and I rescued them from a place named Alaqua Animal Refuge. The owner Laurie Hood is my godmother, I have seen her work so hard and love with all her heart. Growing up with her devotion and selflessness to all animals showed me an important lesson in initiative for what is right. I’ve been to the shelter countless times and joined an animal rescue club at my highschool because of her. The club focused on raising money for shelter dogs. Specifically their medical bills to help the adoption process easier. Alaqua goes beyond a highschool club, working everyday to provide protection, shelter, and care to animals in need. Working as one of my sources for this blog, the website talks about community outreach, community pets that are in need, and descriptive how to help sections. Her goal and mission statement show anyone and everyone how they can help. Whether it be donating or volunteering, even being educated in the issue..all these can help take a dog off the street. And that’s exactly what I did, and my life is infinitely happier with them to inspire me everyday to help others like them. Therefore explaining my mission statement and purpose for this blog, “How can adopting rescue dogs reduce overpopulation?”.
